The Archaeological Site of St. Peter's Cathedral in Geneva

Visit the Baptistery zone with Class 6

From this segment of the site we can learn how and when, and often why, this building was continually changed.

This section of a floor was built in the Vth century when the baptistery was remodeled. A section of an older column is visible supporting the floor. A large slab of stone with an inscription in Latin is also visible. The floor itself is made from mortar mixed with tile fragments.
